Build a Bitch is a reference to the famous Build-A-Bear Workshops, in which the customer can create a teddy bear that looks however they’d like for $15-25.
- Bob the Builder broke my heart:
Bob the Builder is a children’s animated series, it was created by Keith Chapman and produced by HIT Entertainment and Hot Animation. The show first aired in December of 1998.
The main character was Bob, who constructs his own buildings. In this line, Bella says when men expect to be able to change things about a woman’s appearance for their own satisfaction, they act like Bob the Builder choosing what to build.

Barbie and Ken are dolls released by Mattel in 1959 and 1961, respectively.
Both toys are known for their flawless looks, which Bella uses to describe how some men are looking for the perfect girl, but often aren’t perfect themselves.
