Translation

Bitola, my hometown

Bitola, my hometown,
I was born in you, for me you are heaven.
Bitola, my hometown,
Know that I sing about you, from the heart.
Bitola, my hometown,
Know that I sing about you, from the heart.

I have been to many cities, many villages,
Dear to me, like you, nowhere did I find.
Bitola, my hometown,
Know that, I love you, from the heart.
Know that, I sing about you, from the heart.
Know that, I love you, from the heart.
Know that, I sing about you, from the heart.

Hey, hometown, who could
Tell you good riddance, and not start to cry?
Bitola, my hometown,
Know that I love you, from the heart.
Bitola, my hometown,
Know that I sing about you, from the heart.

Hello.

Well done for attempting this translation- as you say, it is quite a difficult song to translate due to the word order and other linguistic idiosyncrasies.
I just thought I'd point out one error, however: namely, "zbogum" is "saying goodbye", or perhaps more freely translated as "leaving", whereas "good riddance" has a very specific meaning that can by no means be used here. If you say "good riddance" to someone or something (but normally to a person rather than a place), you're expressing pleasure at being rid of some annoyance: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/good-riddance.html
Great song choice, by the way :) Keep up the good work!
