(C Yǔyán Qíngshī) (English translation)

身邊,恆星燃燒著在求救;

身邊,恆星燃燒著在求救;

Love Poem in C

Each second, another planet
Collapses into the end of darkness.
Time is gentle, so please don’t worry—
When the world annihilates, we’ll meet with it hand-in-hand.

Back facing the universe, I slowly walk to you
With armor made of the star-studded sky.
Which language, which architecture should be used
So I’m not lost for words before you?

‎Beside us, the flaring stars are calling for help;
Behind us, a black hole is silently roaring.
But you still nod calmly
And say, “Only love and science can last forever.”

‎I wish to build an ark with these numbers
But am also afraid the anchor will disturb your dreams.
How many light-years will it take before you look back at me?
Because at this instant, I’m actually trembling with the Milky Way.

‎Perhaps it’s forever, perhaps it’s tomorrow—
When the world annihilates, we’ll meet with it hand-in-hand.
If life is finite, and nothing in the universe is eternal,
How should I describe—
Which command, which glance
Made me fall this hard for you?

‎Beside us, the flaring stars are calling for help;
Behind us, a black hole is silently roaring.
But you still smile and wave
And say, “Only love and science can set me free.”

‎I wish to build an ark with these numbers
But am also afraid the anchor will disturb your dreams.
How many light-years will it take before you look back at me?
Because at this instant, I’m actually trembling with the Milky Way.

‎I dedicate my dreams to this boundless universe
And seal my affection into a red bean.
I also climb on; though it may be an endless journey,
I can relentlessly hold onto your hand.

‎I wish us to be the romantic, dazzling nebula,
But a meteor struck me into lowering my head.
The last planet has crumbled apart,
But in a vacuum, miraculously,
I can still hear echoes.

Thanks!
