What I am

Versions: #1#2
What I am
remains (an) incomprehensible
obscure inconceivable thing
indefinable to men
(through) all space and time I move
(within) millions of Andromeda galaxies
there is nothing (that) I was not
Everything but/except a heart

Up there, (high/far) above the depths
I am mass, I am weight, I am splendor/magnificence
I am everything, I am nothing
nothing that I've not been
I was the proven iron of the sword
the old oak striving in/within the forest
I am everything, I am nothing
From/through eternity

I am the book
at its beginning
the very first word of this book,
the spark on the blank space,
the emerald depths/substance of Lucifer
(as) Those that cast (themselves) on briars.
There's nothing that I wasn't at all,
Everything but/except a heart

Up there, (high/far) above the depths
I am mass, I am weight, I am splendor/magnificence
I am everything, I am nothing
nothing that I've not been
I know the bright stars in (the) sky/heaven,
but nothing of your poor mortal caresses
I am everything, I am nothing
From/through eternity

I sailed on all the waves
I capsized so many boats
I am everything, I am nothing
as I have been
Up there, well above the depths
it is love, and its sweetness that is missing
I search in vain, I search in vain
I search for one victorious

Middle English is currently selected as the language, please change it to "English". Middle English was spoken in the past. Also there's no need to add anything in the source field if you have made the translation yourself - as you can see, the text just turns into a link that leads nowhere.

Yes, I understand. However, the drop down menu did not list "English", I believe I explained this (somewhere) on the OP. If you can find a way to change it ... I would be grateful.

If you edit your translation and open the language drop down menu (without writing anything), the languages are in three groups: "favorites", "popular" and "more". Jamaican etc. are under "more languages", English is under popular languages, as you can see from this list: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/languages.html
However, if you are using this site in any other language than English, "English" is most likely translated into that language.

LoL ... I see that now. Thank you so much. (now that everyone knows I'm such a "newb", I'll take my tea in my room). :-))
