A Line

An intersection of thousands winds
And only an echo of thunder is left from the recent storm
This clear night I walk outside to the stars,
Saying goodbye to something I never return to
And I won't look back for a second,
When walking away into the chill of approaching dawn
Without any route or destination, just by guessing
To the speedway of changes, to the lights of the landing strips

A balloon is flying up
Getting lost in the clouds above the morning star
Melting and melting... and I don't feel sorry
About anything left behind the line...

There is not enough space for twilight flowers -
Their dreams are cheerless and their sadness is restless
I'll rewrite everything anew -
And the world will never be the same again..
To the sunbeams and ticking of the clocks,
To the wet sidewalks and amazingly smelling lindens,
To every drop that hurts when it hits the face,
To every ray I say thank you.

For that I can breath
And by filling every moment with fragile beauty
I can see, feel and sense
A spring warmth through my thin coat...

Everything will come true, everything will surely happen
New paint will lay down on an untouched canvas
A new day will come, a new page
And trains will run into different directions
Hundred of roads will appear from nothing,
And will call you faraway
Light castles and light-weight bridges
Will be built by the time instead of destroyed buildings

A balloon is flying up
Getting lost in the clouds above the morning star
Melting and melting... and I don't feel sorry
About anything left behind the line...
