Mia Martini – «Il giorno dopo» (1973)
Il giorno dopo ("The Day After") is the third studio album by the Italian singer-songwriter Mia Martini, released as an LP and cassette tape on the 25th of May 1973 by Dischi Ricordi. It has been reissued as a CD a couple of times over the years, the first time being in 1996.
It consists of 12 songs in total: 10 brand new ones and 2 cover adaptations. The release includes the singer's most well-known and commercially most successful song, Minuetto ("Minuet"), released as the only single of it featuring Tu sei così ("You're like This") as its B-side. With the former, she won her second consecutive Festivalbar in the same year. In the summer, the song topped the charts of the hit parade and the album was certified platinum for selling more than 500.000 copies.
