This song mentions Arnhem Land, a region in Northern Territory.

This is a song by an indie group, but it mentions a few cultural things in Australia, like eskies, barbecuing and the famous chant at rugby games. There are a lot of footnotes on the page of the song itself explaining the references.

Probably the most famous example. This is originally a poem by poet Banjo Paterson and was written while he was in the Queensland Outback, which is sort of what the song is about. There's a lot of info on Wikipedia about the song and its meaning. Many Australians consider this the unofficial anthem of Australia, and it was even covered in Pitjantjatjara by Trevor Adamson.

This is a very famous Australian folk song. It was originally written in 1921 by Jack O'Hagan and first recorded by Peter Dawson. More info here. Gundagai is a town in New South Wales.

It was also featured in an Australian movie called Young Einstein and a second music video was filmed and released in the USA for the movie. In the USA release, the music video was filmed in Myall Lakes National Park in New South Wales.

This song was written after the band made a cross-country drive from Perth to Melbourne. The song is about Eyre Highway which stretches between Norseman, Western Australia and Caiguna, Western Australia.

This song is a protest song in favour of giving land back to the Pintupi people. Kintore, Northern Territory, the land that the Pintupi people returned to and created a settlement in is mentioned by name, as well as Yuendumu, a town in Northern Territory known for its community of Aboriginal artists. The song also mentions the Australian car company, Holden.

This song is about Australia being where the Indian Ocean meets the Pacific. It mentions locations such as Nullabor, Broken Hill and Kalgoorlie.
