There are a few French songs about Chernobyl, but I couldn't find anything good.
This one tries to talk about bio-robots, but the lyrics are a bit short and the music is pretty awful, in my opinion.

Thank you for sharing your own experience! I understand that the impact of this event is horrible. I've always been interested in this part of history for it reflects a lot of things.

Igeethecat    Sun, 17/06/2018 - 15:38

So sad... Firefighters were also taken to Moscow to be "treated" and at last buried secretly without any honor in order to hide the truth from residents. Sad smile

Igeethecat    Mon, 18/06/2018 - 02:06

It is very sad. It happened on the ‘long weekend’, people were enjoying their lives having no idea what had happened. I had a dear friend (young healthy 20 years old) who went to visit his family in Ukraine for the holidays, he died year and a half later fighting leukemia

Sorry to hear that Sad smile The government was trying to make the situation "stable" but was only making everything worse...
I learned about the disaster in a book written by Alexievich, my favorite writer. I was really shocked. Thank her for her brave revelation.

I think we have to thank you for bringing this topic up. It’s very touching and painful for some of us, but so is life

"It’s very touching and painful for some of us, but so is life."
I really like this expression, it's so true.
You are welcome. Something that happened in history must be remember, whether by witnesses or by next generations. Maybe to remember is the best thing we can do for the souls of the victims.

Igeethecat    Mon, 18/06/2018 - 03:42

And sometimes we do not realize that we are a part of the history...

Mon, 18/06/2018 - 08:35

Yeah, indeed. I am really grateful for talking to you today. I think your words inspired me a lot, whether it's about the event alone or life. Having been focusing on this catastrophe for almost two years, it's really fortunate for me to know what the local people think about it. Thank you! Regular smile
