Russia is waging a disgraceful war on Ukraine.     Stand With Ukraine!

SNSに殺されそう。 (SNS ni korosaresou.) (English translation)

I Think Social Media Is Going To Kill Me.

I think this stress is going to kill me
I'm starting to feel like breaking something
I think social media is going to kill me
I'm going to lose my identity

I think this stress is going to kill me
Somebody, please help
I think social media is going to kill me
I'm going to lose my identity

People who can't say some things looking you in the face
But can on social media are really scary to me

I want to tell these lame people "you're lame"
But if I did that
Then I would die
So I have to keep my mouth shut all the time
And it's just so hard to breathe in here

I think this stress is going to kill me
Somebody, please help
I think social media is going to kill me
I'm going to lose my identity

I want to tell these lame people "you're lame"
But if I did that
Then I would die
So I have to keep my mouth shut all the time
And it's just so hard to breathe in here

I want to say things like "I want you to die" and "I want to kill you"
But if I did that
Then I would die
So I have to keep my mouth shut all the time
And it's just so hard to breathe in here

I want to say things like "I'm going to die" and "it's so hard to live"
But if I did that
Then I would die
So keep my mouth shut with a kiss.
It's just so hard to breathe in here

It's hard to breathe

Thanks!

Author's comments:

SNS = "Social Networking Services", aka social media. I did this translation within 10 minutes, so it's not very elegant, but I hope it helped!

子たち is not girls. it is kids. But I like how you put つまらん奴 as lame people. No dictionary is saying that. Good work!

子 does mean "kid" literally, but I thought of trendy girls on SNS. Also, for example, if you say あの子, and you're not talking about someone who really is a little kid, I think it's usually about a girl. I don't think it's an important nuance either way.

I'm grateful that you're looking at my translations, but you don't have to look back at my old ones! 恥ずかしいよ笑笑
I bet that my oldest translations from years ago are probably incorrect in some places, but I don't need corrections on them, especially if it's a nitpick about one word not being literally translated.

Haha, I think you really don't want to admit your mistakes, do you, but you can not get away by saying that. in this case. Unfortunately.

子、子たち is a child either can be kids includes male and female children. 子たち can be "boys".

I find you come up with remarkable inventive words, but unfortunately, I also find a little careless mistakes very often.
I hope you will get better with it.

"Kids" brings out a different nuance in English, so I used "girls" intentionally. Everything you have pointed out so far is not a mistake, but an intentional translation choice.

This page says:
「あの子」とは、三人称で、自分よりも年少の子、若い女性に対して使う言葉です。
https://meaning-dictionary.com/%E3%80%8C%E3%81%82%E3%81%AE%E5%AD%90%E3%8...

It also says it can be used about men, but this is the definition at the top.
I think that you don't fully understand the choices I make with English translation, and are sometimes suggesting words that feel worse or unnatural (like misunderstanding "brisk", which you found in a dictionary).

I am grateful for you, but in the future, please stop pointing out largely negligible words and only comment if there is a glaring, disruptive error. This is an old translation anyway, why did you feel the need to point it out?

If it makes you happy, I will replace "girls" with "people", although I don't think that's particularly needed.

So, I said it can be "boys". I'm afraid. 残念ですが

「あの子」とは、三人称で、自分よりも年少の子、若い女性に対して使う言葉です。

above is 「あの子」but this case is あの子たち. This case is not 若い女性

I think "young people" is better.

なんかとても怒ってらっしゃいます?
ちょっとこの点は大きな違いなので fatal errorなのでコメントしてしまいました。今後もがんばってください。
