English translation

A lullaby song

(INTRO)

Bayu-bayu-bayu-bay, fall asleep, my dear boy,
The drunk father will come home, and it will be the fucking end for us,
He will start crushing all here and beating your mother,
So you get a sleep, my boy, untill your father comes home.

And I will sing a lullaby song for my child,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face.

(INTERLUDE)

I will get divorced with him soon, I can get along without him,
He always spends all money on booze, we don't need this asshole,
Yesterday he took the carpet, took it to the flea market,
And drank the money away, as a result he broke my rib, bastard!

And I will sing a lullaby song for my child,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face.

(INTERLUDE)

(SOLO)

His mother-in-law, my mother get tired of trying to help us,
His mother, my mother-in-law, used to suck my blood,
So that, my boy, grow up and tell him to go fuck himself!
Oh, he is knocking at the door, damned bloodsucker!

And I will sing a lullaby song for my child,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face.
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face,
To grow up and become able to hit his father in the face.

changed the structure cause one line break was incorrect. so I re-did everything.

The structure is good, but there're still some things to change.

S1L1 Bye-you-bye-you-bye-you-bye - that would be a perfect rendition of the original phonetics, though having some weird sense in English. Teeth smile But the bay is also somewhat embarrassing, you see...
S1L2 will be fucking end ->will be the fucking end
S1L3 Now he will be->He will start
S1L4 untill your father come->until your father comes

S2L2 So he grow up and will be able->To grow up and become able (since you have the previous line ending with 'for my child', or you can say 'So that he will grow up and become able...' And don't forget to change this further down the text...)

S3L1 Soon I will divorce, I can get along without the father,->I will get divorced with him soon, I can get along without him,
S3L2 spend all money->spends all the money
S3L3 sold it to someone->took it to the flea market
S3L4 he broke a rib to me->he broke my rib (or you may say 'it resulted in a broken rib of mine')

S5L1 tired to help us,->get tired of trying to help us
S5L2 drank my blood-> used to suck my blood,
S5L3 let's grow up and send fuck your father!->grow up and send your father West! (send him packing, send him to Coventry, tell him to go fuck himself)

Hahaha I just love these guys

я обойдусь -> just out of curiosity, would that be closer to "get along" or "get by" ?

нам с тобой придёт пиздец -> is that as strong as "it will be the end of us", or more like "we'll be up shit creek" ? Regular smile

So he grow up and will be able to -> "so [that] he grows up and can" would be snappy and casual

папу на хуй посылай -> I can't really find something as gross in English. "tell your daddy to piss off" ? "send your daddy packing" ? That's not quite rude enough Regular smile Any suggestion, @Gavin?

Well, "пиздец" is a total fucking end in Russian... So it could be translated as "we'll end up in shit" or something like this depending on the context. But usually it is surely the worst of the possible things that may happen.

This is another possible variant...

petit élève    Fri, 19/01/2018 - 09:27

we'll end up in shit -> that's basically how I translated it in French. After all they'll survive, even with a few broken ribs...

Brat    Fri, 19/01/2018 - 10:58

And in connection with "и тогда" "пиздец" can also mean something "It bodes no fucking well for us"... Meaning "we'll end up in shit-n-blood" but not describing the details...

It is closer to the "get along". "Get along" is mean "прожить", "обходиться" in Russian.

нам с тобой придёт пиздец -> is that as strong as "it will be the end of us", or more like "we'll be up shit creek" ?

It is closer to the "it will be the end of us" in an abusive form with the word "cunt", but it can be used as "get problems".

Gavin    Fri, 19/01/2018 - 08:49

"Piss off" is pretty rude! "Send him packing" less so...

Maybe "tell him to get lost" as a middle ground?

But if it's meant to be gross then "piss off" is pretty good. "F... off" of course if you need a bit more.. Wink smile

Brat    Fri, 19/01/2018 - 09:11

Oh, "piss off" would be great, meaning that after the smackdown his father won't be able to f**k anymore. Teeth smile
There's an euphemism used in the original meaning literally something like "you will send him to d'u'ck"... So, 'send packing' is also something about this... The final choice is up to the author, surely.
