It's so funny how everyone is just doing a translation of this song, hahahaha. Is it a meme now?

You're a trendsetter. Wink smile

@Poni de Cthulhu by the way, why did you delete your translation? (Which was supposed to be into French but actually was into English). You could simply change the language.. All your work is gone now... feeling sad about that..

Poni de Cthulhu    Sat, 20/01/2018 - 16:33

Oh, yeah! About that, I just realized there was already an English one (and wasn't bad at all), and I swear I read ''Request Spanish---English'', so I decided to do it, but don't worry it's okay! It's not that important, thank you anyway:3

well, the story made me think of Baudelaire, to my surprise I saw "une charogne" had not been translated into English yet, and I thought it was the perfect occasion to translate it and make a little joke as the icing on the cake (however gruesome the cake might be).

tdwarms    Sat, 20/01/2018 - 08:10

Baudelaire is always appropriate. Wink smile

It’s 2 lines so it was pretty easy to do in a hurry lol

I haven't seen such an "interesting" at least unique text yet, so maybe that's why everyone wants to translate it? Wink smile

Scroll down, you must see 'request proofreading' above your profile.. (I see it when I log in via phone)

opulence    Sat, 20/01/2018 - 08:46

Oh it’s underneath the comment box, thanks!

I’m not used to logging in from my phone until I got a new one with a bigger screen. Still getting used to the mobile layout of the site Regular smile

Yeah, that happens.

12 translations so far. Our roadkill cat will soon be more popular than Baudelaire's carrion.

tdwarms    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:30

Maybe this is like, the abridged version?

petit élève    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:32

Exactly. A girl and a carrion, that's basically all you need for an executive summary. They could have done away with the car though.

tdwarms    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:36

Guess they wanted to modernize it a bit? Wink smile

petit élève    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:40

Yep, a bit of green technology never hurts.

Markku    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:40

I feel the need to translate too!

Markku    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:40

oh, too late.

petit élève    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:41

If you manage to find an alternative wording, I suppose a second version is still an option Regular smile

Markku    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:43

I could but that would feel too forced to me, it's fine Teeth smile

DarkJoshua    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:44

Oddio, scusa. Ero rivenuto per controllare la traduzione in polacco e, notando mancasse quella in italiano, l'ho aggiunta al volo (come se ci volesse tempo a tradurre due righe).

Markku    Sun, 21/01/2018 - 22:49

Ma figurati! ahahah Teeth smile

vargkustaa    Sun, 04/02/2018 - 23:23

Sorry to be the boring one here, hehe.
If you want 'sida' to be in definite article it should be 'på/vid sidan av vägen', very similar to the english version, and most commonly used, I would say.
If you want to have 'sida' at the end, you can use indefinite article, 'på/vid vägens sida', which is a bit more high-sounding.

opulence    Tue, 27/02/2018 - 06:42

Thank you! I'll fix it Teeth smile
