Kàn zhè shìjiè | 崭新世界 [A whole new world]

去看看这世界
神奇、善良、有美丽
放开心灵
去接受另一种人生体验

张开你的双眼
美景在眼前展现
与我一起遨游天际
造访星辰明月

看这世界
拥抱这新的感觉
飞跃在云间,在星月间
在你我情谊之间

Jasmine:
看这世界
惆怅寂寞曾占心田
有你在身边,飞在天边
泪水悲颜已化成云烟

Aladdin:
在这崭新的世界飞翔

Jasmine:
去看看这世界
神奇、善良、又美丽
换个心情人生到处充满着新鲜
看着世界

Aladdin:
张开你的双眼

Jasmine:
拥抱这新的感觉

Aladdin:
美景在眼前展现

Jasmine:
飞跃在云间,在星月间
在你我弄情蜜意之间

Aladdin:
看着世界

Jasmine:
天南地北傲游

Aladdin:
在这崭新的世界

Jasmine:
散尽千万般心情

Aladdin & Jasmine:
有你在身边,飞在天边
泪水悲颜已化成云烟
看这世界(看这世界)
在你身边(在你身边)
新的感觉(新的感觉)
在你身边

This song is singing in Mandarin Chinese, not Taiwanese.....I think this song was recorded in Taiwan.

I know. The song was originally posted under "Chinese", but was re-classified after I did the translation and transliteration. I think the category for Taiwanese is understood by many to mean Taiwanese Mandarin (nearly identical to the Mandarin spoken on the mainland) instead of Taiwanese Hokkien (unintelligible to those who only know Mandarin) because there quite a few other Mandarin Chinese songs classified as Taiwanese on this website.

It is interesting! I think Taiwanese is meaning of "台語" but most of people don't know this language here. It look like Mandarin Chinese but sounds different. There are many beautiful songs in Taiwanese "台語" too. I am new here, I will share some Taiwanese Mandarin next time.

Yes. I don't really understand the intention behind the Taiwanese category, especially when there are no separate categories for other Chinese languages, such as Cantonese and Shanghainese. Personally, I think the Taiwanese category should only be used for songs in "台語" and songs in "國語" should be grouped with Chinese. That, or the category be merged with Chinese entirely.

You are right! I added some Taiwanese songs on the lists, but sounds they are so hard to translate in English or others...**!!

Chinese songs in general are hard to translate into English because they are often so much more abstract than songs in Western languages. I only know Mandarin Chinese, so I don't think I would be able to translate the songs you added very well...

Its the same thing with songs in japanese too.

I think that the translation is not words by words only, we should dig in the heart of song, figure it out what are the proper, even perfect words to match the spirit of the song. Most of time we think it too much, even hard to start. So just let us try, and go forward it!
