Nazlo vsemu (Назло всему) (English translation)

Nazlo vsemu (Назло всему)

In Spite Of Everything

A sweet dream, a new day
It's so hard to wake up!
But someone has to be born again
Don't forget your iPhone
On Instagram - "Louis Vuitton",
But someone has nowhere else to go
You hear behind you every time:
"You are not one of us!" -
It's painful and funny at the same time
Clear gaze, bright color
And to everything - one answer:
Just be yourself and always...
In spite of everything keep smiling, keep smiling!
But don't trust the weightlessness.
And never give up! Stay
Always the same who you are
(Bridge) To the last
Be yourself and don't give up!
To the last
Be yourself and stay on!
You should win every day,
Falling and getting up again,
Letting no shadow of doubt in your heart
A hurricane or a light breeze,
Up - like a bird or down - like a stone -
It's simple philosophy in life...

"But don't believe in weightlessness" = nie wierz w nieważkość.
A gdyby było "Don't believe the weightlessness" to by znaczyło "nie wierz nieważkości".

Co prawda na "But don't trust the weightlessness" Regular smile

I don't understand what lack of gravity has to do with the rest of the song. Is there an idiomatic meaning to this "weightlessness"?

We should ask an author of the Russian original text, Kirill Ukhanov Regular smile For me "weightlessness" means here "conformism". The whole song is about nonconformism and about "staying yourself". The second stanza refers to the "gravity", too.

"Невесомость" here as I think is from "(не)весомость аргумента", and it might better be translated as "insignificance", i.e. do not believe in insignificance [e.g. of pressure].

I've based on the original, official Russian text. That text version is to be used for a studio recording. As the studio version is expected soon, I will wait some days, yet. It may not be reasonable to make the changes there and back Regular smile
