LT under attack?

Hi to all!
I recently got the message that LT was "under DoS/DDoS attack". Now, I wanted to know if the site is safe again. I can access most pages here (except a few forums) and use almost all functions again. But I'm still unsure wether everything is alright (especially for us members).
Thanks for any info!

LyricsTranslate.com is operating in maintenance mode. You can add content to the site, but some features may be unstable.

How long does it still take 'til we can use the Page full again without errors

Sometimes it shows

502 Bad Gateway
nginx/1.10.3 (Ubuntu)

Sad smile

The trick is pages that have been unavailable recently become available again in 2 or 3 minutes-and then go down another time...

I know that but I was able to add a translation and yeah... Do you have Facebook or WhatsApp?

Everything should be stable now. Please let us know if you face 502 errors somewhere.

A few minutes ago I've got errors 503 and 504. It's probably an arithmetic progression... Now the pages open OK.

Same here. About ten minutes ago, I couldn't access any page at all. Now, everything works properly again.

I was panicking an hour ago because I couldn't access the site at all...glad to see we're up and running again.

I am currently accessing the site through VPN, otherwise I get an access restriction "due to information fishing" or sth.

It's me again. I haven't had any problems for two hours now, but my friend @Achampnator cannot access this page through the app or on any other way. He always gets the message: "Cypher Mismatch".

Today I've had a problem to go to this site using Chrome and Opera browsers, they gave me messages that LT uses an unsupported protocol. Also I couldn't connect here with my Android smartphone. Only Tor Browser helped me to do it. Only a few minutes ago LT has begun to open in Chrome and Opera.

I can't connect to LT with Opere and Chrome again, I'm writing with Tor. Yesterday there was no problem with connecting.

Today interruptions occur with connecting with Chrome and Opera, some time I have access, some time I don't, only Tor always connects me with the site. Please fix it!

I connected to the site through a VPN, because the site is apparently not available in France. Here is what I got:

"This site cannot provide a secure connection. lyricstranslate.com uses an incompatible protocol.

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH"

This certificate security issue was temporary, and is already gone for most of the users. Some can still see a result of DNS cache, which should be updated and gone soon.

I had this problem briefly on 7th Dec. At first none of Firefox, MS Edge, and Chrome all ceased to be able to connect to LT (LT suddenly appeared to stop being able to support secure connections) and that went on and off a bit, and then DNS appeared to be unable to find LT so it couldn't be reached at all. But all of that cleared up quite quickly, so not a big problem - except that it did in some ways look like n attack.

The absolute rule in computer programming is : when something works all right, inevitably someone will intervene with the intention of making it work better, and inevitably everything will crash down. Some Murphy's Law or something like that. Wink smile

Tis wisdom!

Not wisdom, a superstition deliberately developed by many managers of software development who use this belief as a way to avoid blame for their own irrational belief that they will get away with telling lies about resources required, mininimal elapsed times possible, the need for testing (in which they don't believe) and validation (which the hate unless it can be faked), and their total ignorance and intense dislike of simple quality management processes. it is greatly to their advantage to have their superiors believing that the superstition is wisdom, so they promote as much as they can without eliminating all need for software development (which would leave them with nothing to manage). There are far too many devlopment managers who take that disgraceful position, and far too few of us who fight against it. There are not, unfortunately, enough senior corporate managers to get rid of these pests When their customers (or, more accurately, their company's cusomers) have been taken in by the superstition it makes their life easy.

So call it wisdom , and you are part of the problem.

Totally with you. Wisdom wasn't about Murphy's law, but the first part.

Well, from my part it was a simple observation about facts I experimented many times in my carrier (working as a programmer). The most interesting thing is that the guy who ruined everything usually then gets very excited and explains to everybody : "Ha, but I KNOW how to repair it !" and immediately gets down to the task with much enthusiasm. Typically it makes things even worse.
