Well done! Especially because the original German lyrics contain many typographical mistakes which makes it hard to get the meaning (even for a native speaker). Wink smile

The first few verses are no idioms at all. The line

Quote:

should actually be:

Und es ist nicht mehr so weit,
Nächste Station: Geborgenheit.

There are also some other strange expressions in the original song.

You're welcome! I joined this site so I could improve my German skills, and listening to German music, translating lyrics, etc really helps me do that, so I guess we're sort of in the same boat haha. But the good thing is that if anyone ever does make a mistake (which, for me, is usually when translating from English to German and not vice versa), we have a whole community of people to help us out. So thank you, too, for the opportunity to learn and improve here, and thank you to everyone who helped with the translation, as well, of course! Regular smile
