Thanks for the suggestion! However, this is a translation, so I went with the original song. Hope you don't mind it.

Not at all. I'm sure the church of the giant planet-eating rabbit will be glad to see its most sacred text presented in its original version.

Pardon me asking, but would you mind explaining how is this about an apocalypse?

sandring    Sat, 09/02/2019 - 07:06

Sorry, Sciera. I overlooked your remark. Ghost Riders in the Sky is about the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse.

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 17:45 (well, it's from a theological point of view in which the end of the world is not the end of it, but...) (spoiler: it doesn't end after all)

Hm, I also know some prayers for the end of the world, but they don't really describe it much.
One exception, though:

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:03

The kliffotic forces from beyond usurping the three cosmic lies, seriously? Shall I start stocking flour and sugar?
They might well beat the giant planet-eating rabbit to the finish.

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:07

Nah, the end of the world has been foreseen often enough that I wouldn't hold my breath for it - and when it comes, your stocks won't help you anyway Regular smile Nor would focusing on material matters like that be in the spirit of the song in question.

Why three cosmic lies? Don't remember having seen a list of them recently, but if I ever saw one then I don't think it was restricted to that amount. (and why editing that out before I had time to answer?)

EDIT: Now see what you've done? You've angered the gods and now the website is half down Tongue smile

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:16

If these pesky kliffotic forces from beyond start wreaking havoc, I don't want to starve to death before the giant planet-eating rabbit comes to finish the job. That last sight must be worth the wait.

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:29

That certainly will be a sight to behold - but I'd be more focused on trying to arrange myself a place in the afterlife - there I can watch as many planet-eating rabbits as I would ever want to.

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:31

It must be comforting to be a believer Regular smile

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:34

Oh I will only turn into a believer when I get some tangible proofs - like watching the gods (and/or a rabbit) destroy the planet. But when that happens...

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:35

Oh great planet-eating rabbit, hallowed be thy... CRUNCH...MUNCH...

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:38

Yeah, not the kind of end I would wish for.

But seems like the website is acting up again, and I got some grocery shopping to take care of, my stocks are quite empty (seriously).

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 18:42

Buy an extra bag of flour and pack of sugar, just in case...

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 19:38

Too late - and I hardly ever buy any sugar in packs, and flour is rare for me as well. But still have quite some honey and oatmeal, I stocked up on meat, and I even bought some carrots for that rabbit Regular smile

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 19:46

You'd rather need to paint the Himalayas orange to convince this nasty critter to keep Germany for dessert.

Sciera    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 19:49

Well, now you know what to do! What are you waiting for? But there are already enough monks dressed in orange in that region, aren't there? Wink smile

petit élève    Mon, 17/09/2018 - 19:58

Yep, I'm rooting for them.

Alma Barroca    Sat, 09/02/2019 - 10:35

I could add it, but who performs it? There are many entries with this name here...

Sailor PokeMoon2    Mon, 11/02/2019 - 04:51

Nevermind you do not need to add it. Besides I found some other better (and unexpected) songs

Sailor PokeMoon2    Mon, 11/02/2019 - 05:07

At the time many of these songs were made (example: Holiday by Green Day) many people thought the world was going to end!

All of these I found on this webpage:

"99 Luftballoons" and "99 Red balloons" both by Nena

"All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan (later covered by Jimi Hendrix)

"As the World Falls Down" - David Bowie (from the film Labyrinth)

"Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival (Later covered by numerous artists, including Jerry Lee Lewis, 16 Horsepower, The Meteors, The Reels and Leatherwolf) or as the misheard lyrics say "There's a bathroom on the right" 😂

Black hole Sun by Soundgarden

The Catalyst by Linkin Park

Another Way to Die by Disturbed

"The Final Countdown" by Europe (later covered by Laibach)

"Holiday" by Green Day

"In The End" by Linkin Park

"Lets See How Far We've Come" by Matchbox Twenty (and yet this song has been used for high school graduation ceremonies)

"Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons (later covered by Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix)

"Riot" by Three Days Grace

"So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish" by A Perfect Circle (😂😂😂😂😂)

"Waiting for the End" by Linkin Park

"Warning" by Green Day

"War Pigs" by Black Sabbath

"Sign of The Times" by Harry Styles

Thanks, all added. Just couldn't find 'Lets See How Far We've Come' and 'Warning'.

For the David Bowie song that you added... The video is missing
