Hi Russian speakers,

I have put a few requests to translate into English that are now a month old. Just thought I would bring attention to them again in case anyone is interested. Thanks for all the translators do and kind regards. Songs: Alexander Marshal - Чтобы рядом, Grigory Leps- Снега and Alexander Rozenbaum- Червончики. I added a new one today but this is only a day and still lots of time to bring attention to it.

These two songs have really nice lyrics. I translated Snows, but at the end I understood that this kind of poetry deserves a better translator than me, so I wish someone could undertake this job!

It might be, but you should explain what exactly is wrong.

heres the other one: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/%D1%87%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%B1%D1%8B-%D1%80%D1%...

What's not good? If you say such a statement you need to tell me why it's not good so I may improve it. I can't just guess...

Edit: Just realised you're a native Russian so you know far better than me, let me know.

What I can tell if "Frost inside my soul, pain outside" is translated as "Cool in the shower and outside"? One may be good in English, but you have to understand Russian as well. I wish the songs were translated by someone good enough in both languages.

Agreed, but i'm just trying to help so I'm sorry for my mistakes. I will definetly go over it and see what I did wrong I admit i did it very fast. I saw Dush as in shower versus dushy as in soul which shows that I should've taken more time to do it. Hopefully someone else does it too who is better than me.

However, if you are native Russian, and clearly you understand better than me why don't you do it yourself? You know the saying: "if you you want something done well the first time do it yourself"? I just don't understand that... you'll probably do it really well too you seem good in english too. If you weren't native i'd completely agree but you know better than me so if in that short a time i can translate it why cant you take 5 mins and do the whole thing? I get requests a lot of the languages i speak fluently but it's usually from people who don't speak it and hence can't do it themselves, you know?

I translated Snows, too, but in the end I understood that my English is very bad and I rejected the idea of publishing it.

you should still try. I think the great thing about this website is you can have many versions. The more the better. You are good at Russian and can clearly speak english so you should definetly publish you version as well. At the end of the day this is a community and if you publish ill be glad to help with the english correction for your translation if you want

What if I post my translation here and you could look at it, and suggest your corrections for better English? I would appreciate that. :)

Hi, Swede Potato!
I published the translation of "Good Girl 2". It was a tall order, all that slang and english gramma tenses... but I tried to do my best. :)

Thank you both for the translations!

Andrew, the translation you provided is great!

And unknown, thanks for sharing that translation. Only getting into Rozenbaum so it is fun to learn all the new songs.

I appreciate all the help supplied here! You are best, all of you.

There are fun things to be said about "swedes", right? I am Swedish by direct descent... like parents and stuff. Not citizenship. But swedensour, your name is fun. How creative!

O.K., so that I do not want to derail this thread, but is Червончики a difficult translation? Is it a lot of slang and expressions? :)

I'm only Swedish by heritage, I live in Australia so not by citizenship, though I have been learning Swedish for quite some time.

No, actually it's quite simple, give me some time and I will translate it. I also would't mind if someone else would do it.

Hi again, I didn’t want to start a new thread for 2 songs but, I have translation requests that are over a couple weeks old. I know that isn’t a long time so it may not be imperative to do them fast, but, just would like to keep them relevant to timing.

They are both Ivan Kuchin songs.

Not sure if that is how the link is to look when you paste a request? Sorry if I messed that up.

Thanks in advance is anyone can offer your help. I wish I had your knowledge!

I'm sorry it's kinda rough, I usually translate from English to Russian but not vice versa.

Still wondering what this song is about.. machine translation does not seem right. My neighbor listens to it on repeat... so I'm curious!

if briefly - the prisoner was released from prison, he was met only by a friend.
His mother didn't live to see him.
His wife - married the other man.
He rides through the taiga, drinks fourth bottle of alcohol. at some point he has a vision of his mother.
But in general, he enjoys freedom, although he understands that he cannot start from scratch, and he considers the has seal of doom on himself.
