One of the things that I take for granted on other lyrics sites, but which is missing from this one, is the ability to search by both the song title and the band's name.

Sure, if I search for a unique title, like Panic at the Disco's "Hey Look Ma, I Made It" I'll easily find the result I'm looking for. But if I search a more common title, like their song "Hallelujah" it gets buried in other results. And what I want to do is to be able to start typing "Hallelujah Panic" and have it come up with the result I'm looking for.

I know that I can search for "Hallelujah Panic" and it'll be on the first page of search results. So it's only a small inconvenience. But the fewer clicks you make users go through, especially on a regular basis, the less they get annoyed with your website. I think it would make the site more useful if it autocompleted based on both fields.

And it'd probably save some bandwidth as well, because people are clicking on the search result they're looking for directly, rather than having to load the search results page first. AZLyrics is one website that does it well.

I never know with these kinds of requests if it's a monthslong project that no one has time for, or if it'd take an administrator all of 10 minutes. But it is something I see on lots of other sites and think would be an improvement on this one.

Well, it's kind of a solution. It'll get me to where I need. But I'm not saying I can't find the song, just that it takes more clicks than it needs to. Your solution is the same as typing in "hallelujah panic" in the search bar of this site. It takes the same amount of time, or a little extra because I have to add "lyricstranslate" to my search term.

Go to AZLyrics.com and search for "Hallelujah Panic" there. You'll see what I'm talking about. You never have to leave the site to find what you're looking for, and it's super intuitive.

Again, it's not a major inconvenience, but it's something that would make navigating this site a little easier. Often times I don't realize that a song title is common until I'm already typing it in the search bar, so I try to narrow it down by adding the band name.

That's the way I expect it to work, because that's how it works on other similar sites. And I'm guessing I'm not the only one.

I'm not saying it is completely unnecessary, what you've suggested;
I just showing there is always some way around the websites' inconveniences.
Maybe I can't give you a proper example related to LT right now, but I'm also always struggling with navigation/search there, like finding this forum thread to request video links or to merge pages. Maybe I'm slow, or not doing in regularly enough, but it always a multi-step process for me.

You could also use the song/lyrics search here - I think it's better than the generic search bar we offer
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/songs
