We Need Wallace for President lyrics
Come on people
You can't be late
We need Wallace in '68
He stood right up
And he said what he meant
That's why we need him for our president
Governor Wallace
Wallace for president
We need Wallace
Wallace for president
Well he take down people
And he put them to work
Instead of standing on a corner
Acting like a jerk
Laying in the streets
Both day and night
They're breaking all our laws
That just ain't right
Governor Wallace
Wallace for president
We need Wallace
Wallace for president
Yes he loves his people
And he loves this land
That's why the governor of Alabam'
After two terms he was through for life
But he fooled them all
'Cause he run his wife
Governor Wallace
Wallace for president
We need Wallace
Wallace for president
Well the Communist world
They're gonna take this land
And now's the time we can make our stand
You stand right up for your belief
He's an honest man
He's not a thief
Governor Wallace
Wallace for president
We need Wallace
Wallace for president
Yes he take down people
And he put them to work
Instead of standing on a corner
Acting like a jerk
Laying in the street
Both day and night
They break all our laws
That just ain't right
Governor Wallace
Wallace for president
We need Wallace
Wallace for president

I listened to this many times to try to catch a couple of words which I'm not 100% sure about: town and world.
I couldn't figure out what they were saying because I couldn't believe the phrase "he run (ran) his wife" -- but I looked it up and it turns out that he had his wife run for governor after he wasn't allowed to run. (The song makes an apparent mistake, because it was after his first term that he got his wife to run.)
