Fast and Furious

I did not expect it
I met him when I missed you the most
And you wrote to me while when he kissed me
You at such a distance, with him face to face.

He had a girlfriend, I had a boyfriend
To top it off, I tried it drunk1
We stayed sober
He had a girlfriend, I had a boyfriend
To top it off, tasty and dangerous
Fast and furious

Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast and furious
Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast and furious
Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast and furious

Fast like a flash2
Unexpected oh
This is not going to stop
I'm levelling up

I'm with him and you're on your phone3
You are asking me "what are you doing?"
We started eating
I swear I didn't want to
But the hunger got the better of us4
And the desire ate us up
Oh my bad life
I swear I didn't want to
More I was able to
They ate

He had a girlfriend, I had a boyfriend
To top it off I tried it drunk
We stayed sober
He had a girlfriend, I had a boyfriend
To top it off, tasty and dangerous
Fast and furious

Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast and furious
Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast and furious
Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast and furious

I didn't expect it
I met him when I missed you the most
And you wrote to me while he was kissing me
You at such a distance, with him face to face

  • 1. pa is short for para
  • 2. I don't know if this is "flash" as in quick or as DC's "Flash". I presume Maia is referring to an quick instant rather then the superhero, but I thought I would just add this in case.
  • 3. Cel is an informal word for cell phone in English. The proper word in Spanish would most likely be "celular".
  • 4. The direct translation of this line would be "but the hunger we could" which does not make sense in English. So, in the context of what is happening in the song and the lyrics, it could also mean the hunger got the better of us.

Hi! I think for "Tenía novia, yo novio" the translation should be "He had a girlfriend, I boyfriend".

The past tense for tener is the same for Yo and Él / Ella / Usted.

Hello Milo!

A small part of me thought that might be the case but I did not know for certain as I know the singer has come out as Bisexual.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Well it could also be "She had a girlfriend, I had a boyfriend" since tenía is used for both He and She :)
