Happiness that I wished for them has no limit

They said: "father, mother we have to go (pass the sea)

There's no future here

We don't like this life anymore

We prefer fish then worm1"

My children gone very young

Reda and El-hadi passed the sea (and drowned)

My candle extinguish

and my stars are gone (faded)

My candle extinguish, my dears

And sky is cloudy

I cried and cried till I lost my eyesight

I searched but can't found them

My children didn't came back

Allah we beg you to have mercy with them

My God we're patients

Allah we beg you ..., you're the Highest

We all (die and) came back to you

El harraga the the name for those people who cross the straight of gibraltar illigally so its better to keep it as is and put the explanaton in a footnote.
Otherwise the title mist be "illegal emmigrants" (since its the morrocan name and they [plural hence the "s"] are leaving morocco)

and then: I wept for my children
I wept for my country
...

The translations needs a lot of work.

The last 2 verses for example should be:
Have mercy oh god allmighty.
To you we'll all return.

:) Thank you very much for your proofreading, yes my translation isn't that good, my English too. That why I request a proofreading.
I don't know the origin of the word Harraga we use it in Algeria, all Maghreb use it.
So if you have time you can add your translation, I'll add your correction if you didn't.
