[Flying Apsaras] (fēitiān) (English translation)

[Flying Apsaras]

Imma bout to fly

Imma bout to fly

Flying Apsaras

The brush and ink of Qiuci
Painted on the centuries-old wall
Not an immortal or evil spirit
Against the background of the highest wisdom.

In past lives, I sold holes in the walls not to steal light, but to secretly engrave
Images of foreign Buddhas that had been on the walls of many caves for a long time.
Turning east towards my homeland, I started writing in the calligraphic style of the Han Dynasty
To paint on the wall outside of Yangguan an image of a heavenly ideal state.

Regular legends tell not only about the defeat of Loulan
And about the entrance to the expanses of the Qilian Mountains and the Langjuxu Mountains,
But also about the Flying Apsaras aspiring to the sky,
And about the persistence that conquers everything around and goes straight up again.

Imagination, delusions, memories, dreams,
Flying Apsaras ascending into the sky.
Memories of wall paintings are not erased after a thousand years of reincarnation,
Future lives ascend to the stars and to the moon.

Indulging in empty dreams,
I chase the sun and sing
About Flying Apsaras and wall paintings,
About intricate and sophisticated patterns of the pipa,
About Lu Ban and the wooden crane,
About Wan Hu and fire control,
About fate and about me.
Imma 'bout to fly!

Kua Fu, Chang’e, the whole world, delusion.
Which chapter of the "Classics of Mountains and Seas" have I already read?
Once I made the Flying Apsaras my aspiration.
Lu Ban, Wan Hu, dreams of many generations.
In the echo emanating from the Universe,
I can hear about the Flying Apsaras raising the sun.

Three thousand years of persistence are not forgotten.
The pictographic character depicts dreams.
Flying Apsaras dream of Dunhuang.
Thousands of years of gossip,
Cool detachment, taunt and lies are ignored
By Flying Apsaras who focus on building faith.

(I'm waiting for things to settle down)

Indulging in empty dreams,
I chase the sun and sing
About Flying Apsaras and wall paintings,
About intricate and sophisticated patterns of the pipa,
About Lu Ban and the wooden crane,
About Wan Hu and fire control,
About fate and about me.
Imma 'bout to fly!

Kua Fu, Chang’e, the whole world, delusion.
Which chapter of the "Classics of Mountains and Seas" have I already read?
Once I made flying into the sky my dream.
Lu Ban, Wan Hu, dreams of many generations.
In the echo emanating from the Universe,
I can hear about the Flying Apsaras raising the sun.
