Wardruna - Fehu (English translation)

English translation

Fe causes strife amongst friends
The wolf feeds in the forest
Fe is joy to man
strife amongt kin
path of the serpent
The snake lies coiled
Hidden, it waits beneath
like a frost-covered field
Strife that kinsmen suffer.

Fe is used in Norwegian and Old Norse for livestock, especially cows, goats and sheep.
Hu was used in Old Norse to express unhappiness, discomfort and the like.
Fehu is possibly a combination of the two words.
