Original lyrics
Floki Appears To Kill Athelstan
Geyr nú Garmr mjǫk fyr Gnipahelli,
Festr mun slitna en freki rinna,
Fjǫlð veit ek fræða fram sé ek lengra.
Bræðr munu berjask ok at bǫnum verðask,
Munu systrungar sifjum spilla.
Skelfr Yggdrasils askr standandi,
Ymr it aldna tré en jǫtunn losnar.
Geyr nú Garmr mjǫk fyr Gnipahelli,
Festr mun slitna en freki rinna,
Fjǫlð veit ek fræða fram sé ek lengra.

Translation
Floki Appears To Kill Athelstan
Now Garm howls greatly before Gnipahellir,
The rope will break, Freki will run,
Of wisdom I know much, I see further ahead,
Ragnarok of the gods of victory.
Brothers may fight and fell each other,
Sisters' sons may stain their kinship.
Trembles Yggdrasil’s ash yet standing,
A feeble sound of aged tree, the Jotunar is loos.
Now Garm howls greatly before Gnipahellir,
The rope will break, Freki will run,
Of wisdom I know much, I see further ahead,
Ragnarok of the gods of victory.
Brothers may fight and fell each other,
Sisters' sons may stain their kinship.
Trembles Yggdrasil’s ash yet standing,
A feeble sound of aged tree, the Jotunar is loos.
Now Garm howls greatly before Gnipahellir,
The rope will break, Freki will run,
Of wisdom I know much, I see further ahead,
Ragnarok of the gods of victory.
