Hey guys,

I really want to be a mod for the Armenian language. There is so much correction and work to do and I feel like, being a perfectionist like I am, I would benefit the community by correcting all the titles, correcting lyrics, etc. Is there anyone i may contact about this? I have OCD and organizing and making sure everything is perfect format wise is killing me not to be able to do myself.

Thank you so much.

You can do all this correction work with an editor status, which is less difficult to achieve.

I think you have to be Super member first if you want to become an Editor .

Ah yes, that would require 90 translations. A bit less if you earn points otherwise.

But super members can't correct lyrics or have I misunderstood something?

No, only editors and mods can. Members can only correct the lyrics they uploaded themselves, but not someone else's entries.

Super Members can correct only the lyrics they posted themselves; Editors are allowed to edit (almost) all lyrics.
Gosh - one minute too slow.

Got it. Thanks to both of you.

The issue I have is that there are about a hundred Kurdish and Zazaki entries on LT with wrong orthography, and if 'Report broken data/spam' is the only solution, the correction process will become too long. (or users not active or responsive to your corrections: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/ali-haydar-g%C3%BC%C3%A7l%C3%BC-roze-yena..., https://lyricstranslate.com/en/sasa-serap-osmo-p%C3%AEy%C3%AA-keynano-ly...)

So, I don't know, a Kurdish/Zazaki moderator is much needed and I would love to volunteer.

Well, I saw many of your comments aimed at correcting Armenian content; I edited what I saw.

I think I can testify that you show willing to make things here look better and tidier (like me). When you’ll have earned enough points, contact lt (the site administrator’s profile) to apply for an editor status.

There's no guideline for becoming an Editor. I have recommended several users who weren't of higher roles yet because I noticed they either knew less popular languages and/or were helpful.

Advice: be active in the Reporting thread, we might start noticing it and will take that in consideration when the time comes. We Mods discuss who should be promoted every now and then 😉

A good start, of course, is being Editor. Just keep reporting and you're on your way.

JSYK, editors cannot edit translations done by others -- that's within the Mod's powers.

We can't do that as well - we're only allowed in very specific situations and none of them concern editing content.
