Четыре стадии в жизни мужчины
Он с телом вёл борьбу сперва, как можно дольше,
Но тело взяло верх и он не гнётся больше.
Он с сердцем воевал отчаянно и смело:
Невинность и покой ушли, закончив дело.
Затем он вызвал ум на бой, с ним не поладив
И сердце гордое своё оставил сзади.
Теперь он бьётся с Богом, узрев его воочию:
Бог победит, конечно, уже сегодня ночью.
