The Four Ages of Man
He with body waged a fight,
But body won; it walks upright.
Then he struggled with the heart;
Innocence and peace depart.
Then he struggled with the mind;
His proud heart he left behind.
Now his wars on God begin;
At stroke of midnight God shall win.

A night deity is a goddess or god in mythology associated with night, the night sky, or darkness. It can also mean the god addressed in the midnight prayers of people.

چهار دوران ِ انسان
جنگ انداخت انسان با تن
بُرد تن و خَدَنگ ماند بدن
به چالش کشید انسان دل را
بیگناهی و آرامش رفت بر فنا
این بار کُشتی گرفت با خاطر
پشت سر ماند دل ِ بلند نظر
حالا اعلان جنگ کرده به خدا
و در لحظهٔ مرگ، میبَرد خدا
