I would like to take you [somewhere]

I would like to take you on the other side of the Atlantic
Going along some lost paths across Americ
I would like to tell you that we'll still stay together
Until the ends of days and even if the floor trembles
I would like to take you on the other side of the Atlantic
Closer to snow, to our idealistic dreams
But which will keep me standing to the end of the ravines
Which will make me run still a long time
Until tomorrow, until tomorrow

It's almost time to leave
Hold me back
It's almost time to leave
Stay here, look at me

Because in your eyes that soon I won't be able to see
There are these things that look like hope
And you still support my body between your arms
I should also learn alone to walk straight, to walk straight

It's almost time to leave
Hold me back
It's almost time to leave
Stay here, look at me

I would like to take you sail and go round the world
To the sky, where our souls are wandering
I would like to forget the city and its cement walls
To see life passing along the Saint Laurent

Wouldn't it be something along the lines of "Stay here. Keep me" instead of "Stay here. Look at me" in the last chorus?
In French she changes the "regarde moi" to "garde moi" if I'm not mistaken.

Hi! In the og lyrics it's indeed written "garde-moi" but i think there's a small mistake because I can hear "regarde-moi" in the 2nd chorus as well (if i'm not mistaken 😅) but else yes garder = to keep :)

You're right, I guess 😅 I always listened to the same version of the song (the official video on YouTube), where it sounds a lot like "garde-moi" plus I was confused because here in the original lyrics it also says "garde". But there are many recordings where she clearly says "regarde". Sorry for the confusion.
