The Johnny Test Theme Song 1 is the first theme song used in the Johnny Test cartoon. It was originally used during the first season, from the episode Johnny to the Center of the Earth, up until the first season's finale, Johnny & the Attack of the Monster Truck, running exactly 13 episodes (26 segments).
In the US, it also originally appeared on all Kids' WB! (and that block's replacement, The CW4Kids) broadcasts/reruns of the first three seasons (despite a new intro sequence and theme song being made for season 2 and beyond). As a result, this theme song was used the longest in the United States at the time.
Trivia
If someone looks closer to the theme song during the beginning of the "Just another day in the life of a boy named... (Johnny Test!)" part of the theme song, they can see that Johnny is actually singing the theme song. This is especially well noticed when Johnny is Ninja Johnny.
In the German, European Portuguese and Serbian dubs, this opening song was still used after Season 1.
In the U.S., this theme song was also used in the beginning of episodes from seasons 2 and 3 as well due to the show still airing on the Kids' WB! and The CW4Kids. This song was not officially replaced for both seasons in the U.S. until January 2008, when Johnny Test started airing on Cartoon Network, likely due to them using the original Canadian prints from Teletoon.
Also, starting in October 2006, when Kids' WB! started airing Season 2, the original intro was slightly altered; the Warner Bros. Family Entertainment logo was now removed, and after the countdown in the intro, a "Closed Captions" logo appeared; and when the intro ended, instead of cutting to black, it now faded to black. This would also occur during Season 3 and all reruns of the show on Kids' WB!/CW4Kids.
Some USA Season 1 airings on Cartoon Network kept the original intro, while Netflix airings and Mill Creek Entertainment DVDs of Season 1 contain the second intro.
Kevin Manthei, composer of the song, posted an early version of the opening sequence, which while the song itself has no differentiation from the final version, has the scene where Johnny Test sings "Just another day in the life of a boy" behind a very flashing background. This was changed to a more static-y yet vibrant background presumably to avoid any potential eye damages or seizures.
Both of the show's theme songs sounds very similar to the songs 'Americain Idiot' by Green Day and 'Its the End of the World' by R.E.M.
