Katagalugan National Anthem - Marangal na Dalit ng Katagalugan

Mabuhay, Mabuhay yaong Kalayaan, Kalayaan
At pasulungin ang puri't kabanalan
Kastila'y mailing ng Katagalugan
At ngayo's ipagwagi ang kahusayan

Submitter's comments:

Ang salitang "Katagalugan" ay tumutukoy sa buong Kapuluan ng Pilipinas at hindi lang sa Maynila at kalapitna a probinsya. Ang salitang "Filipino" noon ay tumutukoy lamang sa mga Kastilang nasa kapuluan ng Pilipinas.

Author's comments:

"Katagalugan" here refers to the whole Philippine archipelago, not only Manila and nearby provinces. "Filipino" at that time only refers to Spaniards resident in the archipelago.

"mailing" is an old tagalog word not used much today. I don't know its actual meaning, so I translated it based on context.
