Translation is good. You could footnote that "great big starry bears" is the "Big Dipper" in English. Other than that, it's good!

You're right. It's a literal translation from the text, which refers to both of these "bear" constellations (Ursa Major and Ursa Minor).
A bit difficult to draw the parallel, but I'll try. Thanks for your comment.
