Thanks, however I just see it differently. IMHO, "invalidate" definitely doesn't fit here (it's not a vaccine against COVID a day after its validity date). Reject and disqualify, well, sorry, I see them as "almost full" synonyms. A song could be submitted to a record company, not as a part of a contest, just regular submittal, and rejected by it immediately or disqualified and rejected later for some technical reason or a "moral" reason or say, a legal problem, kind of a recent small addition to an existing law about minors not being allowed to sing "these" words in public. Or just me - rejecting a proposition of friendship following disqualifying it in my mind on some personal grounds. A "contest" is not an issue here. As I write i it even seems to me, it's not only equivalent, it's much better. "Reject" is more bounded, personal and for people close to me in their views. "Disqualify", it's as if I have the right to "reject" it in the name of a larger community

Invalidate is the opposite of validation, that has no sole attachment to documents, one can validate or invalidate a person by behavior.
As in, "made her feel invalidated" or "validated his belief".
You can't say the same thing about disqualified. In order to be disqualified you first must be "qualified" or have the absence of qualification.
You don't disqualify a friendship, but you can reject it.
I think you are misunderstanding what disqualification is. You can be disqualified from a competition you initially QUALIFIED for, because of cheating... but you can't be disqualified in general. You can, however, be rejected with no effort on your part.

I never said I can disqualify a friendship. I can always disqualify a proposition I have received - it's just not in the scope I have defined to myself, a gut feeling, whatever, and than I reject a proposal, OK?
You see the world as static. You can be qualified (or not) to register for any kind of competition, the conditions remain static, you compete and are accepted or rejected and later on you go thru the stages of the competition.
He is a rebel. We live in a dynamic world. We don't register to compete for everything we want to achieve, we just compete. In this type of competition the rules are flexible. Nobody tells him his creation is rejected because..., he and his creation are disqualified, period! Don't come again, don't compete again, we don't want you. And he comes back even stronger, because he believes he'll change "the reality". And I believe that most of the readers on LT would qualify to understand this context (especially, when reading the whole song, not just this line).

Do I dream? Or is this the BIG BANG calling? I was talking about his creation (small c), a poem, a song not THE CREATION. We both know nothing or very little about it so let's not discuss it, and stay friends, OK? If you mean an RFP/RFQ, I have seen a lot of them submitted for evaluation and all of them were evaluated, quantified and qualified, then most of them (if not all of them) disqualified in internal analysis and all of them except, hopefully, at least one, rejected.

פוסלים = reject or invalidate, would be less confusing here.
IMHO, disqualify makes no sense in English (in this context). (Like if you were entering a creation in a contest, then it could be disqualified, but it doesn't really fit the lyrics' meaning here).
