Upside down, right way up

We're not back from Mysteryland yet
That is, we came in there without having seen any light
There is the water, the fire, the computer, Vivendi, and the earth
We certainly must be able to blossom and to brush everything off

We can still greet the cheap little kings
We can still hope to be one day part of the family
Sure, you'll be able to become yourself a stock exchange ace*
We could even consider that everything might blow up in our faces
Around the olive trees pulsate the origins
To find ourselves endlessly being had

Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up
Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up

Is there a fire expected tonight in the parliament
Looks like it's time to envisage another cycle
We can entertain ideals without straying from the people
We can still dream about leaving but without actually moving from here

Apparently the white dove is in a really sorry state
Apperently we must get used to swallowless springs
Sleeping Beauty broke off the negociations
The begins to protest unilaterally
Do we have to curve ourselves again and again for a straight line ?
Plea to find open spaces within the walls of a box
Is that an estuary or the end of the road we catch a glimpse of
Hands up for the puddle we swim in, we drown in

Around the almond trees bloom the worlds soflty
They shall not ingloriously compromise**

Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up
Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up

Le mot "crack" se retrouve un peu partout... Et puis, si on veut être encore plus exact, ça s'écrit en fait "krach", mais là encore, personne ne l'emploie sous cette forme.

This is so good, thank you!

I want to share the changes I made when forwarding it to some of my non-French-speaking friends. Some are based on my "feel" for what rolls off the tongue more easily in English and some are due to differences in how we understand a particular line. I'd really like your feedback as I want to improve my translation skills:

We still haven't got back from Mysteryland
That is, we went in there without having seen any light
There's water there, fire, computers, Vivendi, and the earth
We ought to be able to bloom as we finally crash and burn

We can always greet the cheap little kings
We can yet hope one day to be part of the family
Sure, you'll be able to become, yourself, an ace stock broker
Then again, who knows - everything might blow up in our face
Around the olive trees pulsate our origins
As we find ourselves being had over and over again

Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up
Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up

Is a fire expected tonight in parliament?
Looks like it's time to envisage another cycle
We can caress ideals without straying from the gutter
We can still dream about leaving - without actually moving

Looks like the white dove is not going to fly
Looks like we should get used to silent springs
Sleeping Beauty has broken off the negotiations
The prince, unilaterally, starts protesting

Do we have to bend over again and again to get into a straight line?
As we are politely requested to find open spaces within the walls of a box
Is that an estuary or the distant end of the road we catch a glimpse of?
A special mention for the puddle we swim in, we drown in
Around the almond trees blossom secretive worlds
Never shall they suffer the ignominy of humiliating compromise

Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up
Upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up
