I want to share the changes I made when forwarding it to some of my non-French-speaking friends. Some are based on my "feel" for what rolls off the tongue more easily in English and some are due to differences in how we understand a particular line. I'd really like your feedback as I want to improve my translation skills:

Sleeping Beauty has broken off the negotiations
The prince, unilaterally, starts protesting

Do we have to bend over again and again to get into a straight line?
As we are politely requested to find open spaces within the walls of a box
Is that an estuary or the distant end of the road we catch a glimpse of?
A special mention for the puddle we swim in, we drown in
Around the almond trees blossom secretive worlds
Never shall they suffer the ignominy of humiliating compromise
