Videosex - Lacrimae Christi (English translation)

German

Lacrimae Christi

Es war in alten Zeiten
Ein schwäbischer Fiedelmann,
Der kräftig strich die Saiten
Und lustige Mären sang.

Mit Friederich dem Alten
Ins Welschland zog er ein
Und kostete beim Wandern
So recht verschied'nen Wein.

Und als auf seinem Zuge
Er nach Neapel kam,
Quoll ihm aus ird'nem Kruge
Ein Tropfen wundersam.

Er trank mit durst'gem Munde
Und rief den Wirt herbei:
"Ah, Liebster, gebt mir Kunde,
Was für ein Wein das sei.

Er rinnt mir alten Knaben
Wie Feuer durch's Gebein;
Von allen Gottesgaben
Muss das die beste sein."

Der dicke Kellermeister
gab ihm die Antwort gern:
"Lacrimae Christi heißt er,
Und Tränen sind's des Herrn".

Da überkam ein Trauern
Den fremden Fiedelmann;
Er dachte an den Sauern,
Der in der Heimat rann.

Und betend sank er nieder,
Den Blick empor gewandt.
"Herr, weinst du einmal wieder,
so wein im Schwabenland!"

Lacrimae Christi (Christ's tears)

In olden times there was
A Swabian fiddleman
Who struck the strings
And sang funny tunes

With Old Frederick
He marched into Italy
And as he went hiking
He tasted many wines

And when on his trek
He came to Naples
From an earthen jug
Flowed a marvelous drop

He drank with thirsty lips
And called the host:
"Oh dearest do declare
What wine is this here?

It creeps like fire
Into my old bones;
Of all of God's offerings
This must be the best."

The fat winemaker
Answered him with joy:
"It's called Lacrimae Christi,
And it's the tears of the Lord."

Great grief then overcame
The foreign fiddleman
He thought about the sour wine
That flowed where he came from.

And praying he sank down
His eyes gazing up.
"Lord if you cry again,
Please cry in Swabia!"
