Mariana Mirno représente pour moi l'esprit indomptable de la Syrie et aussi la beauté et la bravoure de tous les enfants de ce pays meurtri par sept ans de guerre, mais qui continue à vivre plus que jamais et à montrer au monde que l'espoir existe! Elle vient de m'annoncer que l'on vient de lui décerner son diplôme de Docteur de l'université de Lattaquié, après tant d'années passées à étudier sous les bombardements constants. Je ne peux lui dire aujourd'hui qu'une chose...Merci petite Marie, Merci, car tu signifies tant pour moi!

Everytime I think about Mariana Mirno, I feel the indomitable spirit of resistance and resilience of the Syrian people, as well as the bravery of all the children of this country torn apart by seven long years of a cruel war, but still so much alive, and showing us all everywhere in the world, that hope still exists! she just announced me that the University of Lattaquié awarded her the title of Doctor in medicine, after so many painful years passed relentlessy studying under the bombs.
