The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

Versions: #1#2#3
For a few days I'm living in silence
In these four walls of my love
Since you left the shadow of your absence
Pursues me every night and flees from me every day
Everyone fled from me, I created the loneliness around me*
I don't understand anything anymore because I'm nothing without you
I gave up everything because I have no illusions anymore
Listen to the song of our love
No, I couldn't live without you
I couldn't, don't leave, I'll die
An instant without you and I don't exist
But my love don't leave me
My love I will wait for you all my life
Stay close to me, come back I'm begging you
I need you and I want to live for you
Oh my love don't leave me
They broke up on a station platform
They walked away in a last glance
Oh I love you, don't leave me

Cherbourg is a city in Normandy in north-western France.
I'm also told by a quite reliable source that "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" is a very famous French musical from the late 1960's.

"Les parapluies de Cherbourg" is a very famous French musical from the late 60's.

In these for walls -> typo
Since you're departure -> freudian slide Wink smile

j'ai fait le vide autour de moi -> that's nearly an idiom. It means "because of my attitude, all people fled away from me"

De notre amour écoute la chanson -> that's poetic Yoda talk.
More usual "Ecoute la chanson de notre amour" a word order would be Regular smile

My I will wait for you all my life -> this sentence seems to be deprived of love Regular smile

Thanks for pointing all the typos and stuff!! My lack of observational skills and inattention to detail have got me again Teeth smile

Inattention to details is often the downside of an artistic mind :).
