About translator
I have had some difficulties with this. A number of other singers have sung this and some of their words and phrasing differ significantly. For example second line of fourth stanza is usually "Sempre no mês do trigo". I have translated as best I could with minimal interpretation because I do not fully understand the meanings in the song.
