Author's comments:

1. Golongan Karya, or more popularly known as GOLKAR, is an Indonesian political party that used to be the ruling party during Soeharto's 32 years of authoritarian new order regime in Indonesia. Today, Golkar endured as one of the largest political party in Indonesia, although no longer enjoy her former status as the government's single party organization

2. Golongan Karya is usually translated into english as "The Functional Group" or "the Working Group", although I think this translation is not really accurate as the word "Karya" in Indonesian connotate not a regular "work" but, more of a "work to create".

3. Golkar was not officially a regular "political party" during the new order regime, rather it was officially a "organization dedicated to national development". This was in line with the regime's policy of detaching the common people from politics (the "floating mass" policy). This also explain why this song never mentioned the word "party" in it.
