Miss Goody Two Shoes/Little Goody Two Shoes (English) — Little Goody Shoes is the name of an older book (1765) and it speaks of an excessively virtuous person. Heard today as 'Miss (Little) Goody Two Shoes', it refers to the same type of person. This expression however indicates that the person they speak of believes themselves to be above everyone else and so then is their ego. They are then loathed by others. When it is spoken it is often said in a crass, negative, uppity manner as well. Sometimes with chin held high to express it further by the person saying this. It is more commonly used between females than amongst males.
