Muukalainen (Estonian translation)

Muukalainen

Istun rauhassa
stereot korvilla
Kuuntelen musiikkia
jonka lähetit sä

Kone on pöydällä
mese on auki
Kaikki puhuvat
en viitsi viestiä

Puhelin soi
minä en kuule
Mutta näen, se vilkkuu
en tahdo vastata.

Telkkarissa taustalla
rakkausleffa
Mutta kukaan ei katso.
Miksi pitäis siis kiinnostaa?

Hetken olen kuin kuusta pudonnut
Jostakin taivaasta satanut
Ja muukalainen toiselta planeetalta.
Haloo, avaruus, näkemiin maa!

Hetken olen kuin kuusta pudonnut...

Valot on sammuneet,
ulkona jo pimeää.
Mä vielä täällä
haluun pois kaikesta.

Koputusta ovella,
en pysty kuulemaan
Musiikki soi,
laitetaan kovempaa!

Aamulla kun herään,
stereot korvilla.
Kello ei soi,
telkkari kähisee.

Mese on auki,
ikkunat vilkkuu.
Puhelimessa
on tekstareita useita.

Hetken olen kuin kuusta pudonnut... (2x)

VÄLISOITTO

Hetken olen kuin kuusta pudonnut... (3x)

Tulnukas

Istun vaikselt ma,
kõrvaklapid peas,
kuulan muusikat,
mille saatsid Sa.

Laual on arvuti,
MSN on lahti.
Kõik räägivad,
ei viitsi suhelda.

Heliseb telefon,
mina ei kuule,
kuid näen, see vilkub
ei soovi vastata.

Eemal mängib telekas
armastusfilm,
kuid keegi ei vaata.
Miks peakski siis huvitama?

Hetkel olen kui kuu pealt kukkunud,
kuskilt taevast sadanud
ja tulnukas teiselt planeedilt.
Hallo kosmos, hüvasti maa!

Hetkel olen kui kuu pealt kukkunud...

Tuled on kustunud,
väljas juba pime,
kuid mina seal ikka veel
kõigest tahan ära.

Ukse peale koputust
kuulda ei saa,
muusika mängib,
keeran kõvemaks!

Hommikul kui ärkan,
kõrvaklapid peas.
Kell ei helise,
telekas sahiseb.

MSN on lahti,
aknad vilguvad,
SMS-e on telefonis
mitu tükki…

Hetkel olen kui kuu pealt kukkunud... (2x)

...

Hetkel olen kui kuu pealt kukkunud... (3x)

Why do I see not even one difference from the lyrics from which the Finnish variant was originally translated from and adjusted to melody?

We really can´t say that you have translated anything.

Well, isn't that translation correct? I appologize if you doesn't like the lyrics, but I tried my best. I can make other translation and take off couple of words, but I thought that was good enough.

"I appologize if you doesn't like the lyrics" My problem is that what you have given is THE LYRICS. It´s not the question whether I like them. What I don´t "like" is that you have given original lyrics instead of a translation. I can read and understand the lyrics easily myself.

(Have you ever inserted a text into Google Translate (A --> B) and then changed some arrows and translated it back again (B --> A)? What you have done then is translating text A1 to text B1. If you translate B1 again, you get text A2, if not C1. For natural reasons, A1 and A2 cannot be identical. At the moment A1 and what should be A2 are identical, from this page https://lyricstranslate.com/en/Paha-Polly-Tulnukas-lyrics.html There is not even one difference although lines might have different numbers of words, although that doesn´t strictly mean anything.)

Cf "Mutta näen, se vilkkuu" (seems to be: but I see, it blinks / but I see that it blinks) vs "kuid näen seda vilkumas" (but I see it blinking)
Cf "Jostakin taivaasta satanut" vs "suvalises kohas taevast alla sadanud". Only one of them has "down" and from what seems to is "jostakin" means "kuskile"/"to somewhere", not strictly "in a random place".
Cf "Ja muukalainen toiselta planeetalta" vs "tumm tulnukas teiselt planeedilt" only one has "dumb/mute"
etc
I am very sure that you can spot these things too yourself and what I have done right now is pointless.
At them moment I don´t see how you have "tried your very best".

Maybe you didn´t see that I wrote somewhere that I was interested in knowing as well as possible what the differences between the original (A1) and translation (B1) are, via A2 (Estonian) or C1 (English). Maybe some insight about whether the chosen Finnish words sound "normal" too. (cf "ei soovi vastata." = "do not wish to answer" vs "ei taha vastata" = "do not want to answer") I am not very sure that taking off couple of words would do the trick.
If what I have asked doesn´t seem natural, obvious to you and you just cannot do it, then I can´t ask it from you and I apologise myself and that would be all. You can easily refuse if you see a reason for it to piss you off.

I didn't mean bad, and if you really don't like that translation, I'll make a new one. I'm sorry that I got you angry.

nykti-eoikuia    Mon, 18/11/2013 - 12:26

Don´t worry, I can´t be angry, I was just puzzled and bewildered, maybe bemused too.

I´d appreciate if you translated it.

Hope it's now good enough! ;=)
