Numai una (English translation)
Over the shoulders, her hair flows down like a river
It is knitted like a wheaten ear
With the black apron, tied on her waist,
I hide her from the sweet eyes. (*)
When I see her, I turn yellow,
When I don't see , I get sick.
When the others come ask her for bride
Priests come to pray on me.
Chatting on the way, three hours pass.
She departs, and i pretend to go,
But there I stay and follow her
With the eyes till she disappears in the horizon.
Let the people say how much they want her,
She is my love and she is only mine.
Rather than to seperate from her,
I'd better set all the village on fire !
(*) I love her very much.
