Didulya - День (Denʹ)Russian |

Totally agree with you, but unfortunately I do no know farsi, if you know it, then please help me post his rubais in farsi.
I long time wanted to map all originals rubais and numerous translations in Russian (for each of his rubai there is on average at least 20 translations in Russian language) , as well as in English language and other languages.
I also have a large collection of audio recordings of many rubais in farsi, which I eventually want to post on youtube andc link to them from here, so that anyone could not only read, but also listen Omar Khayyam in original language.
Moderators could set the language to be both Persian and Tajiki, if it is possible.

I'm sorry I don't know farsi too, but I'll look the original writings in arabic alphabet. For Tajik language, I said that to let people know that Tajik is a Persian dialect from Tadjikistan (I think the Persian of Iran, the Tadjik and the Dari are mutually intelligible)

I converted some of these poems into Persian, but there is a large collection including 178 of his rubais in Persian language:
http://ganjoor.net/khayyam/robaee/
And if you can't read Persian, there are many online tools for converting Persian into Latin alphabet (called Fingilish or Pingilish)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingilish
Of course matching Fingilish with Tajiki script is not easy, but these are things that we have
Or maybe if I can just make a mapping between your Tajik rubais and original Persian rubais, you can do the rest

Please update the songs using this mapping:

thanks alot, I trust that you could add those youself as persian translations to the ones already on the site. I am not comfortable with persian/arabic script, even with selecting to copy the text is rather difficult for me, and easy to omit some characters and I might not notice it afterwards. I have about 50 more rubais to add and match them to Russian and English translations.

thanks a lot, I will try to find free time to post the remaining rubai and match with known translations into Russian (for sure), and English (at least Whinfield's)

Hey friend
Thanks a lot for this collection, it's really admirable.
Just that I think it would be much better if you would put the poems in original form which is persian of coarse, and then add the Tajik version as a translation!
Now it seems that the original poems are in Tajik and then they are translated into persian in some cases, which is not in fact true!
Again I should say that I do praise your efforts for this collection too much, but just this disposition makes all your worthful efforts unprofessional and disloyal in literary sense, you know what I mean, yeah?!
There is much effort here, and I'm not sure if there is a way to correct and revise this arrangement or not.. In fact that does not sound good, I see.

I changed all Tajik songs to Persian, and move the Tajik text to a Tajik translations (except some that need double-check and I commented for hamu4ok)
One of the admins is going to change ownership of the Tajik songs I added.
Later we should also add Persian transliteration (in Latin script but with Persian accent)
Most of current transliteration are in Tajik accent.
I can do that later.
I'm just a bit picky!
For example I like to use letter Ā / ā for آ to differentiate from a=æ
Also try to use "ee" for long and "i" for short.

آقای احمد، مرسی برای توجه و پیگیریتون
آقای سعید ممنون بابت تلاشتون برای اصلاح مشکل
مطمئن نیستم چه کمکی ممکنه ازم بر بیاد، اما اگر چیزی بود هستم
واقعا ممنون بابت توجه و پیگیری هر دو نفر و تلاش ارزشمندتون
سپاس 🌷

Thanks!
But I think we should avoid these letters:
š = sh = ش
č = ch = چ
x = kh = خ
q = gh = ق
Because most people are not familiar with them.
Also "š" and "č" can not be typed with standard English keyboard (although we can use Windows' on-screen keyboard)
And "x" and "q" are ambiguous.
We should just use sh, ch, kh and gh that are common

That's great, thanks a lot for all your efforts 🌷

یکی از کاربران رباعیهای خیام را به صورت مجموعههای ۱۰ تایی به سایت اضافه کرده و برخیهایشان هم ترجمه شدهاند و همچنان میشوند:
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/omar-khayyam-%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B9%DB%...
I am planning to post here 100 or more rubais of Omar Khayyam in tajik language with translations in Russian language. If you can help me with farsi transcription / latin transliteration or translation into other languages (not just English), you are more than welcome.
Only one suggestion, it is better to keep all translations in one language under one translation, otherwise it will be clouded with too many translations (some rubai have more than 20 translations in Russian language). If you have a new translation in already posted language, plz post it as comment, I will then add it to the original translation.
Only for the original texts in farsi, tajik, and transliteration there might be different versions of rubai, which differ by a few lines. It is also better to group all versions under one text, instead of creating new texts/translations. Just a suggestion, which I think will ease retrieval and reading through the amazing work of Omar Khayyam.
In the future, for each rubai I will create a youtube video with an audio in farsi/tajik and any professional translations available in audio (in Russian language there is quite a large number of audios).
