Also always the same Translator there is something fishy

I would say that we should report this to the Admins and or Mods

Nevertheless, you shouldn't make so many "Translations" with 1 Language 2 for 1 Translator is okay but not 30!

you should ask my very best friend Alma Barocca, he will surely and timely investigate

I sent him a Message in PM

There's no rule for amount of translations added for a same song. Whoever added them mentions the original author, so they're not technically breaking any rules (I'd just ask them to add a link to the website where they got the translation or mention more extensively where they got them [if from a book, an anthology, etc.]). As long as no rule is being broken (these are GT's, are unsourced, are spam, etc.) I'm afraid all of them can remain. Of course, you should ask an Ukrainian speaker to give their opinion, for I am none. [@Natoska] and [@Alexander Laskavtsev], would you care checking if all of these are real pieces of work?
I have asked for the opinions of other Mods.

Alma could you please help me with another thing I have a problem with?

Yes, but always by the same person???? One translation into one language by song per PERSON should be enough, no? If you don't like your own translation anymore or made a mistake, that's what the edit button is for. 30 by the same person into the same language is simply excessive.

Yes, even if made by the same people, they can all remain if no rule is broken. Alternative translations are welcome. I also don't agree that we should have 30 translations of the same song done by the same someone, but I can't remove any unless they're breaking our rules. We only have something about duplicate translations, when trans. #1 is 99% similar to trans. #2, but, as I said, I don't speak Ukrainian, so I can't tell if there are any substantial differences between all of them. That's why I tagged two speakers who happen to be Mods/Editors as well.

And in parenthesis you find the authors who have translated this poem in Ukrainian (Svitlychny, Stebnytsky, Grizun, etc). You can find the translations even here https://issuu.com/volodymyrtymchuk/docs/verlen-i-pisna

Talking in general, I would say that 2 or 3 different translations of the same text by the same person would seem allowable : you might for example wirite a word-for-word translation, and then an adaptation : this could even be helpful for the reader. In this very case I admit that 30 translations for the same poem looks a little... overdone.

These translations were not an creative work of the "translator". He was copying at least 12 of these different interpretations from the same source, follow the indicated source link: http://old.lingua.lnu.edu.ua/Foreign_Philology/Foreign_Philology/Foreign......

I used to have a heated discussion with a user who posted up to 15 copied translations to one and the same song until I realized it was mere harvesting for points. A user must be allowed to post no more than one copied translation to one song but I'd rather there were no copied translations on this site at all.
The singer is here Léo Ferré.
