(Shekaste Niyaaz) (English translation)
Persian
A
A
English translationEnglish

Death Of An Urge
Once there was a fire, now quenched1
Once there was a thread, now torn
My heart was set free from your chains
And the magical cup of sorrow broke
I came here to hold on to you
But realized you are just a wilted twig2
I realized you are death
Smiling at my hope’s face
It is so sweet3
To dance on your grave
O all-needy love
It is so sweet
To forsake
That sweet fiery killing kiss
It is so sweet
To tear myself away from you, to bond with someone else
To stop4the heartache at the heart’s gate
Heavens is here, believe me
[Peace of] clouds shades, farm’s outskirt, is right here
Best for you to not think of
Me and my soul-crushing pain
I won’t renounce the pain
I won’t burn in the flames
