Valerie Carter - Back To Blue Some More

Back To Blue Some More

Oh, if you ever need me
You know where I'll stay
Parked outside is my blue coupe
Oh, Interstate 58
Late, two-toned, tired, and dirty
I'll be listening to the juke box
Watching night turn to day
The lights outside this truck stop
Of this lonely café
And up above the door
That neon sign keeps flashing
Blue to red
Red to green
And back to blue some more

The sandwich was tired
The lettuce expired
And business was slow
The waitress was no princess
But I held up my hand
Just to touch somebody strange
And she gave me back my change

Oh, if you ever need me
You know where I'll stay
Parked outside is my blue coupe
Oh, Interstate 58
Late, two-toned, tired, and dirty
I'll be listening to the juke box
Watching night turn to day
The lights outside this truck stop
Of this lonely café
And up above the door
That neon sign keeps flashing
Blue to red
Red to green
And back to blue some more

Thanks!

Submitter's comments:

I wasn't entirely sure about this part:
"Late, two-toned, tired, and dirty"

I think she might also be saying:
"Late, two-tone(d) tires, and dirty"
