Living

After so many songs,
Of so many words sheltering in my mouth
I'm still in love with this mic like on the first day
Making rap my life jacket
Surfing around the world
Living

I have a free soul and a body which I live bound to it.
And a trunk full with "I want you"s* that I have kept.
My songs have travelled that I'll never be,
My lips have sealed breasts that I haven't kissed.
I've fell in love with so many things that hurt,
I've enjoyed a thounsand battles, didn't matter if I lost.
I've begged for hugs before a door bang,
Wounded by a crush** that bleeds me still.

I've been a guide, I've been a ballast, I've been a coat,
I've walked the streets as a beggar.
I have friends that could be counted with the fingers of one hand.
I have long-lived parents and seven brothers.
I have a bouquet of illusions that decay when saying goodbye.
More than in God I believed in the weight of my actions.
A half so sad, and the other laughing.
Now I get it.
I am living.

I'm going out and stop time.
I'm going to write this as a testament.
I'm going to yell untill I'm out of breath.
Loving and suffering.
Living.
I'm going to turn off the lights and look inside of me.
I'm going to undress without
Thinking before the lament.
I'm going to slide like the wind on the cement,
Crying and smiling.
Living.

I've stayed overnight on hovels so dirty that fews get in.
I've knitted gardens where used to be stone.
I lost the peace in order to win the war.
I've drowned on my mist and then on bottles on gin.
I've slept on doorways and mansions.
I've drawn the world as an atraction park
succumbing to temptations and mirages.

I've lied to so many and more than one,
From the books I've read, I drank eternal wisdom.
I've found comfort opening heaven between some legs.
For my not given kisses I've cried waterfalls.
I've flight from Tokyo 'till Manhattan.
I've seen wonderful creation in all things.
I've suffered depresion, nervous crisis.

One half is sleeping, and the other half is burning.
Now I get, I am living.

Living.

I've seen people die, and let their last breath out in peace.
Light getting out of their chests and going up fugaciously.
Always unable of taming the fireflies,
Always looking for some afection on the cienegas.
I ran to take a bath in the sea under the storm,
I've suffered the desire just like a slow death.
I've opened the gates in my mind that no one must never open.
For hatred I made crazy things, and for love many more.

I've kept away from people out of fear.
I've seen infallible men crumble to the ground.
I've swum in the Nile and by the edge of the pillow.
I've cried my rage like waterfalls.
I've had any kind of caprices,
But a pencil and pen were enough to be already rich.
One half so quiet, the other half running.
Now I get, I am living.

So many people, so many people and me.
Always split in two halves
Enjoying the pleasures, accepting the suffering.
Nach.
Through me.
Living.

Living.

Author's comments:

*In spanish "te quiero (literally, "I want you)" is used as an expression of affection. If you could put on a scale of affection, it would be more that "I like you", but less that "I love you"
**This is a wordplay. A "flechazo" could literally translate as an arrow hit, so he's "bleeding" or suffering still from the wound caused by it
