Vulgaris Magistralis

I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And I ride around on a mammoth

I cook my meals on an active volcano
A dinosaur I use for my hotdog
Wodan and Donar are my distant family
But I haven't seen them for ages

I only live at night
In the dark I ride

I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And I ride around on a mammoth
I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And sundays on a mastodont

A crazy professor had heard my name
came racing to the Achterhoek on his Solex
With cameras and lassos he hunts for me
But my cave was never discovered and no one
saw me

I'm a real champion
in a real vision

I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And I ride around on a mammoth
I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And sundays on a mastodont

I slip through the woods of the Achterhoek
They want to cast me for the silver screen
In the middle of the night I leave my cave
Mies Bouwman and Spielberg want me center stage.

But they won't get me
No, they won't get me
No, they won't get me, never, never!

I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And I ride around on a mammoth
I am Vulgaris Magistralis
And sundays on a mastodont

I am Normalis Archivaris
I chisel chronicles into a rock
I am Normalis, it is true
And the girls I work with my bludgeon

Thanks!

Dit is met afstand de raarste tekst die ik ooit vertaald heb. En het is ook de eerste.

This is not Dutch, but Achterhoek, no? A very, very close language to Dutch?

I know this is an old comment, but just in case someone thinks the same:

The Achterhoek is an unofficial region in the Netherlands. Achterhoek means 'rear-corner' due to it's location in the corner of the Netherlands on the border with Germany. They don't have their own language, just a dialect which is understandable throughout the Netherlands.

I know that your comment is also an old comment.

In the Achterhoek they speak a dialect of Lower-Saxon, not a dialect of Dutch. Lower-Saxon is mostly spoken in the east of The Netherlands, from the Achterhoek, through Twente and Salland, even all the way up to Groningen. In the west they don't understand it.

Well just to point you that your comment become also old.

With all my love.
