Солнце светит над рейдом неярко.
И хоть искрится в окнах снежок,
Но березки прибрежного парка
Расцвели на коротенький срок.
С валунами прибрежными споря,
Даже в летние дни холодна,
Как привет от полярного моря
Выбегает навстречу волна.
Дышит море у стенок причальных
И шумит от утра до утра,
А на рейдах на ближних и дальних
Под ветрами стоят крейсера.
Парк весеннею дымкой застелен
И глядит с полубака матрос.
Все глядит он на нежную зелень
Молодых заполярных берез.
Есть такие речистые взгляды -
Никакие слова не нужны.
И не только деревья, что рядом,
Все просторы матросу видны.
Вся Отчизна от края до края,
Что невиданным цветом цветет.
И страну от врагов охраняя
Всю любовь ей моряк отдает.

The sun shines dimly over the roadstead.
And although the snow sparkles in the windows,
Yet the small birch trees in the coastal park
Have began to blossom for a short time.
Arguing with the boulders near the coast,
Cold even in summer days,

And guarding the country from the enemies,
The sailor gives it all his love.
