Versiones: #1#2

Comentarios del autor:

“All along the way there were things to do/always some other someone I could be,” Ms. Lincoln said, citing lines from “Being Me,” which closes the album with a rumination on her lifelong search for an honest self. “Abbey Sings Abbey” is the manifestation of that search, a study in gravity and wisdom that could only have come, one suspects, at this point in her career.

Yes. You are right - I actually had it like this, but changed later. Can you accept my version or strongly feel to change it?

Hey, I am just being honest. First time I read your translation, it made no sense to me. After all, I see what are you are saying

Off the topic, I felt like I am not welcomed to your posts the other day both by you and your bars friend

Actually I do my you BlackSea. I just wish your comments weren't always so mean. I think we both misunderstand each other's intentions. As for me, I'm sorry for my rude comments to you. They were unnecessarily vulgar, but your comments to me weren't nice either. Not as bad as mine, but that's no an excuse for me behaving as I did. I apologize. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

As for this song, the line "hitting/hurting heart" I think should be "hidden heart". But her accent sounds like it may be a very light Jamaican accent. The only thing I really don't understand is "a spirit to fly" on the stage. That means nothing to me as an American. Perhaps a Brit or a Jamaican knows what that's supposed to be. Almost sounds like Russian translated directly into English. Russians use "spirit" much more than we do. We say "heart/soul" interchangeably. Seems Russians use "heart/soul/spirit" interchangeably. Maybe she means that when she sings, she uses her whole soul/heart/spirit when she's on stage.

Maybe just a dropping of words in those lyrics. Just a wild guess
To fly a spirit for the stage to show
could be
To fly on the wings of a spirit/ghost/my soul - and on stage this will show?
