Little Girl

Versiones: #1#2
I could catch you just like that
And all of a sudden scratch your eyes out,
If you weren't looking at me
With the joy of being in love.
I could spin on my head,
Going crazy in a few hours,
If you ever felt like
No longer believing in my happiness.

That hurts me.
It's burning me up inside,
It's not normal,
And I can no longer hear my heart,
They are stories
To make girls cry,
I dare not believe them,
I'm not a little girl any more.

I can shout for hours
If you don't come back straight away,
Or dash off at full speed
To pick up some chips for you.
You only have to snap your fingers
For me to show up in your living room,
But if ever you don't answer the door
I swear, I'll break it down,

That hurts me.
It's burning me up inside,
It's not normal,
And I can no longer hear my heart,
They are stories
To make girls cry,
I dare not believe them,
I'm not a little girl any more.

Comentarios del autor:

I've translated "des frites" as "some chips", which is the translation into UK English. For US English it's "some fries".

Hey ! I saw you asked someone to tale a look at your work so I'm here
As a French native speaker I would say "these are sorties to make girls cry" because "there are" would be translated as "il y a" in French.
And I don't know why "ça me fait" is translated "that" but "ça me brûle" "it's", I think the author wants to talk about the same thing so keeping using "it's" or "that" would be better. Both are correct I think.
That's all Teeth smile
